Egyptian Kleems are unique wool area rugs that have been made for centuries in a rural region of the Nile Delta. The wool comes from a special type of sheep raised in the desert of Upper Egypt. The wool fibers are thick and long, which produce a strong yarn that withstands constant wear. The Nile Trading Company Collection offers a variety of designs in five standard sizes (4 x 6 through 9 x 12 - and custom sizes up to 13 feet wide). All Nile rugs are custom colored from a selection of 100 beautiful colors. The colors are available in woven sample sets and recently heathered yarns have been added to the wide array of colors.
